Attendance Policy

Regular attendance at dance class is very important as the student will learn a great deal faster. If you are not coming for any reason be sure to call at 510-352-2800 or email at dcdance1sl@gmail.com, so that class will not be held up waiting for late arrivals. Dancers should arrive five (5) minutes before starting so they can put on their dance shoes and be ready for dance to start. They are to wait in the lobby for the class to start. Please do your best to be on time for class. It disturbs the class when you come in late and could be harmful if you miss warming up. There are no make up classes for missed classes.

Pick up

Dancers are to be picked up promptly at the end of class. DC Dance Center is not responsible for dancers once the class has ended. The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after their classes. The studio will not be responsible for students who leave for any reason. Make sure that your child knows to wait for parent or guardian. Please pick up your child promptly.

Observation

Parents are invited to observe class through the viewing windows the first and last 15 mins of class. Due to Covid and limited space issue, parents are not allowed to sit in the lobby area during class. Parents are to wait outside for dancers. If you need any accommodations please check in with the front desk.

Withdrawals

There is a two-month minimum for all classes (your 1st and our last month (June). A 30 day notice is required to discontinue any class. To discontinue class you must email at dcdance1sl@gmail.com and complete a withdrawal form in person at the front desk. Requests will not be accepted over the phone or by your child's instructor. The next month's full tuition will be automatically withdrawn from your account if notice is not received within 30 days. No refunds or credit will be given. No withdrawals will be accepted after December 1st.

COVID - 19

Face masks for dancers and visitors will be optional. but strongly recommended. As we are approaching the cold and flu season we want to make sure everyone is doing their part to stay healthy. COVID-19 is still highly contagious and DC Dance Center will make every effort to prevent symptomatic employees and dancers from entering the building. However COVID-19 has been proven to be asymptomatic in some persons. Therefore, DC Dance Center cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19 or any other unknown virus.

Please do not attend dance class if you are showing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, Flu, Strep, or any other contagious illness. Face coverings are optional for students and staff. Please call or email if your student will be missing class.

Your registration is proof that you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending DC Dance Center and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.

Refunds

DC Dance Center does not provide refunds of any kind, for any reason including illness, injury, relocation, vacation, missed classes, school work, disinterest etc. This policy applies to any studio fees; registration fees, recitals, costumes, tuition and more. No refunds will be given - No exceptions.

Release of Liability

DC Dance reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. By enrolling in any class at DC Dance Center you agree to the following:

I understand that DC Dance Center does not give credits or refunds of any kind, including but not limited to studio fees, registration fees, illness, injury, relocation, vacation, missed classes, school disaster, and weather etc. I further understand that there are specific ricks of physical or property damages, losses, or injury that may result from my child's participation with DC Dance Center and I voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation. I have read and understand it and I agree to be bound by these terms.
