Cenellis Baron, a native of New York City, began her dance training at the age of 15 after joining her high school's dance team. After training at the Ailey School and Peridance Capezio Center for a few years, she went on to receive her BA in Dance and writing at Point Park University, where she had the opportunity to learn from inspiring teachers and artists. Since graduating, she spent time as a freelance dance artist while also working as a teaching artist in various high schools. Cennellis has taught through artist programs such as Dancewave and worked in reputable studios such as Ballet Hispanico. Though she is predominantly trained in Hip Hop and Modern, Cennellis also teaches Contemporary and Street Jazz and enjoys practicing other dance styles. In August, Cennellis made the move to California and is currently enjoying her time as a part of the East Bay Dance Center team, an afterschool program and dance studio, and a Hip Hop teacher at DC Dance Center.
